Design & Build

build/ THE STORY
This entertainment suite transforms a home office into an immersive environment where gaming, film, and collecting converge. Inspired by retro-futurism and the nostalgic worlds of Stranger Things, DC Comics, and classic arcade culture, the design blurs the boundary between digital landscapes and physical space through light, reflection, and carefully composed detail.
The experience begins within the gaming room, where layered LED illumination traces the architecture, creating depth and atmosphere while echoing the vibrant glow of 1980s-inspired graphics. High-gloss epoxy flooring amplifies the shifting light, producing reflections that extend the perception of space. A floating workstation provides a minimal platform for multiple displays, while custom display cases integrate collectibles directly into the architecture, allowing personal artifacts to become part of the composition. Lounge seating introduces a social element, balancing focused gameplay with casual gathering, while a neon installation referencing The Flash offers a subtle narrative focal point.
A dedicated theater extends the experience into a quieter, more cinematic setting. Slatted wood panels and a custom ceiling installation with dispersed LED lighting create a layered backdrop reminiscent of digital environments, adding depth without distracting from the screen. An oversized sectional anchors the room, complemented by an integrated snack station and mini refrigerator, creating a space designed equally for immersive viewing and shared entertainment.
Throughout the project, lighting serves as both material and atmosphere, transforming familiar residential rooms into a cohesive environment that celebrates the client's passions while elevating everyday moments through immersive design.
