Crafted from a restrained palette of metal, stone, and natural wood, this residence sits quietly within its surrounding landscape, celebrating the character of its natural setting. A steel standing-seam roof, rustic limestone, and warm wood finishes establish a timeless architectural language, with the same material expression carried seamlessly from interior to exterior to reinforce continuity throughout the property.

A winding concrete path guides movement through the front garden, weaving gently through existing landscape elements and framed by rustic limestone walls. Beyond a custom metal swing gate, a secluded floating wood deck creates a quiet threshold into the outdoor living environment. From here, an intimate dining terrace overlooks a reflective pond punctuated by elegant scuppers, introducing subtle movement and a sense of calm within the space.

The limestone retaining wall defines the transition into the backyard, where a wood walkway leads into layered plantings and the surrounding California hillside beyond. A restrained lounge area is centered around a low-profile fire bowl, anchored naturally by a lush tree. Overhead, fragrant Star Jasmine climbs across the walls and wraps a slatted awning, filtering light onto an oversized daybed designed to sit softly within the landscape.
